Far West Coast - Experience the Edge - Eyre Peninsula South Australia
Welcome to our Place

The Far West Coast - Oyster Capital of Australia, far enough away from bustling city life to keep its unspoilt conditions and solitude, the Far West Coast offers spectacular beaches bordered by isolated bushland, giving an unspoilt, uncrowded and uniquely different place to live or holiday.

The country charm and community pride is as obvious as the desire to show that this region is an ideal holiday destination. The major towns of our region make an ideal base for exploring the pristine ocean and rugged coastline from Baird Bay to the Head of Bight.

Whales are plentiful at the Head of Bight during the winter months, the surfing at Cactus Beach arguably the best in Australia, and the beautiful Gawler Rangers are a comfortable drive inland.

The fishing is great all year round. Smoky Bay and Denial Bay oysters are amongst the world's finest, grown and harvested in the region's pristine ocean waters and gentle tides.

The Ceduna Business & Tourism Association would like to thank Sue Trewartha for the bulk of the editorial content on the website. Sue's ongoing contribution to the promotion of Ceduna and surrounds spans many, many years and we appreciate her time and effort.
